Age Discrimination

One of the exceptions to the employment at will doctrine in the state of Texas, is discrimination based on age.  That means that you were demoted, terminated, or some other employment action was taken against you because you were over the age of forty.  That is the cut off age in the state of Texas. Another requirement is that the person taking your job, if you were terminated, is under the age of forty.  If those factors are met and that is the reason why the employer took that action, then you have an age discrimination case.  If you feel like you have an age discrimination case, then give us a call and we will help you to understand your rights.
