Family Medical Leave Act

One of the exceptions to the employment at will doctrine in Texas is the Family Medical Leave Act or FMLA for short.  If your employer qualifies under the FMLA, there are certain things that must happen for the employer to qualify; for example, you need to have surgery, and you ask for FMLA leave, then you go get that surgery, and the employer turns around and fires you, you may have a claim under the FMLA.  If you have been terminated from your job because you requested FMLA leave, then call me today so that I can explain your rights.
