Opting Out of the Worker's Compensation System
Another in our series of videos of reasons why an employer may not want you to file an on the job injury claim, is when your employer may act like they have workman comp, but they may have opted out of worker’s compensation system. When an employer opts out of worker’s compensation system, they still have some duties and responsibilities and you still have a claim against them, and in fact, they lose some of their rights because they opted out of the worker’s compensation system.
