Employment At Will Doctrine

This is a series of videos on discrimination in the work place.  Texas is an employment at will state, which means you can be hired and fired for any reason or no reason at all.  You can be fired because they don’t like the way you walk, or the way you talk, or your manager has had a bad day.  I have interviewed thousands of people throughout Texas who have been fired, and many of them have shown me that what the employer did was wrong in the way that they handled it.  They were unethical in the way they handled it, they were amoral in the way they handled it.  After I have reviewed the facts and after I have reviewed the case, I have to tell them that unfortunately what the employer did was not illegal because of the employment at will doctrine.  Employment at will simply means they can fire you at any time for any reason as long as that reason is not based on discrimination, and specific discrimination.  If you feel that you have been discriminated at work, and want to know if you have a case, then call me today so that I can explain your rights to you.
